People Tested, Dog Approved!

Daycare

Yep! While you're away at work, running errands, or otherwise out of the house, we'll keep Spot entertained with tennis balls, bubbles, play gyms and of course other dogs! This ensures at the end of your hard day, you get to spend some quality time with a tired dog instead of a wound up one.

When USD 383 schools are closed (due to inclement weather), Howl-A-Dayz is closed for daycare. However, we are still open for boarding clients 9AM to Noon and 4PM to 6PM!

How To Get Started

The first step to getting your pooches enrolled is to call and schedule a temperament evaluation. Every dog undergoes a two hour evaluation to make sure Howl-A-Dayz is a safe environment for everyone! We schedule these Monday through Saturday starting at 10AM or 2PM. Please be prepared to provide the following:

  • Proof of Current Vaccinations
    • Influenza - (Beginning January 1st, 2014)
Dog flu is a contagious respiratory disease in dogs caused by a specific Type A influenza virus referred to as a “canine influenza virus.” This is a disease of dogs, not of humans. (More Info)
    • Bordatella - (Required Annually)
This vaccination helps prevent your dog from catching Kennel Cough, although it DOES NOT guarantee it. This is relatively common in kennel environments and is especially important for very young and very old dogs. (More Info)
    • Rabies - (Required Every 1, 2, or 3 Years)
This vaccination is also required by the city to help keep your dog from catching rabies from any other animal it may come in contact with. Your vet can provide vaccines that don't expire for up to three years. (More Info)
    • Distemper/Parvo - (Required Every 1, 2, or 3 Years)
These vaccines are usually part of a multivaccine that protect against distemper, parvo, caronavirus and many others. It will most likely be listed as DA2PP or DHPP on your vet records. (More Info)
    • Spay/Neuter - (Required If Over 1 Year Old)
This is usually apparent from the dog information section of your records. Under the listing for Sex, a spay will show as Sex: S Female and a neuter will show as Sex: N Male. It is important to note that we do not need your dog's entire medical history, just our required portions and anything else you believe we should be aware of.
    • Other - Not Required
Your vet may give you options for additional vaccinations. We highly recomend the 6mo Bordatella vaccine and the Canine Influenza vaccine. It's always best to follow the recommendations of your veterinarian!

Our packages are an excellent deal for customers that come on a regular basis, saving you $4-6 dollars a day per dog! However, please keep mind these discounts are offered for coming on average 2-3 times a week and therefore the packages DO expire! Make sure packages are a good fit for you and your dog before you purchase one. Any of our staff members can help you decide if a package is a good option for you.

It is also important to note that you can use your packages towards boarding. The package day pays for their daycare play time, and you are only charged $10 per day for the overnight portion of their stay!

We prefer to be as flexible as possible but our policy is that all sales are final, and expired package days are not redeemable for cash or services. If you have extenuating circumstances, please feel free to speak with a staff member.
